Our mission is to provide solutions tailored to our clients' specific challenges, whether present or anticipated. Our client’s primary interest lies in achieving results that align with their values and objectives. Our established brand and identity are trusted advisors and advocates by consistently providing the necessary tools, structure, and data-driven proven results.
Our clients tell us our uniqueness is not just in filling roles like negotiating physician Professional Service Agreements but in our deep understanding of their vision and our ability to leverage their value to enhance their overall success. This differentiation allows us to tailor solutions that open opportunities for increasingly inspiring and fulfilling challenges. This approach ensures that Physicians and Hospitals receive the financial rewards they deserve for their hard work, long hours, and professional dedication.
The Brake Group analyzes, advocates, and negotiates physician compensation with accelerated financial and operational outcomes on behalf of Physician groups.
As health care becomes increasingly complex, it must align with what drives physician performance in order to stay ahead of the curve and to ensure patient care across specialties. Physicians don’t get what they deserve….they get what is negotiated. We navigate the ever-changing landscape for physicians and hospitals.
Our Founder and CEO leads with 25+ years’ experience as a Hospital CEO and Attorney (General Counsel). If one specialty or group can't financially sustain themselves, this jeopardizes care at that hospital and the community at large resulting in patients traveling long distances to receive specialty care and a patch work of remaining physicians and not a continuum of care.
The Brake Group uses a customized approach to best position a physician group’s collective interests. There is no cookie-cutter contract when working with The Brake Group.
We use a data-centric approach by incorporating benchmarks for Fair Market Value and Commercial Reasonableness to stay compliant with evolving State and Federal rules and regulations, including Stark, Antikickback Statute, False Claims Act, Civil Monetary Penalties, Conditions of Participation, etc. We’re experts on the prohibition of referrals statute as defined in 42 USC 1395nn(h)(3).
Our negotiations protect both the physician group and hospital from costly legal violations.
Finally, each contract builds on itself every year, creating a strong foundation for future negotiations.
